Stars Fall Down to the Floating Light
Solo Exhibition in Regent Galleria | 2024
Taipei, Taiwan
This solo exhibition, titled Stars Fall Down to the Floating Light, reflects on the inevitability of change, the certainty of death, and the impermanence of all things. It emphasizes that only values imbued with respect and meaning can be passed down through generations. The artworks are realized through a variety of techniques, including ceramics, paintings, and mixed media.
In this exhibition, I explore an ideal universe through my signature Precious Bao motif. In contemporary society, many individuals experience limitations and psychological challenges due to cultural deterioration. The work raises questions about the essence of human existence and seeks to uncover the original harmony of the universe, Earth, and life. By tracing history, I examine how humans can reconnect with balance and unity. Ultimately, regardless of identity or gender, human beings share equality with all other forms of life.

Wish you all the bright future

Entering a new stage of life and embracing a brand-new identity, I found myself living through the rapid and relentless spread of the pandemic in recent years. From hearing about people around me falling ill, to witnessing my own family members and little ones being infected—each experience became a catalyst for reflection on life and death.Humans have always been curious about the unknown realm of death, yet amidst that curiosity, I found myself pondering even more deeply on the meaning of new life.
From this contemplation emerged a series of artworks about love and blessings. Every new life carries with it blessings — a tiny body holding immense expectations and hope. Yet no matter what we wish for, the future remains unpredictable.
All I truly wish for is something simple that in both ease and hardship, everything, somehow, will be all right.
