Hand-shaped, underglaze , recycled American clay, oxidation firing 1230°C | 20 × 20 × 25(H) cm | 2024
Using recycled clay, the artist hand-shaped the floral stamen atop mother of Precious Bao head as a symbolic nectar-releasing nipple. On the back of the head, intricate openwork carving depicts the sun, moon, and rain, representing natural forces. This embodies mother of Precious Bao abundant inner energy, nurturing all beings within the Precious Bao universe like a Mother Earth figure. Surrounding her are six smaller Precious Bao figures, representing the offspring of land, sea, and sky.

Absurd Circus
Hand-molded, underglaze painting, porcelain clay, oxidation firing 1230°C | 18 × 18 × 25 (H) cm | 2022
The inspiration for this work comes from circus performances, which trace their origins back to the bloody Roman arenas—an arrogant form of entertainment created by humankind.Hand-shaped from porcelain clay into doll-like figures, the work metaphorically reflects how fragile and insignificant humans truly are, as delicate as porcelain itself. The figure’s head can be opened to place small animals inside or display them on miniature steps around the skirt.
This sculpture symbolizes humanity’s desire to imagine and control everything in nature. Yet, true richness in life lies in coexistence and harmony with all beings. Through this work, I offer a subtle satire—a reminder that no species on this earth is inherently superior to another.
